Ann Wright and Joe Meadors were passengers on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla that was carrying humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza and was attacked by Israeli forces on Monday, May 31st in international waters killing 9 civilians and wounding dozens of others. They will be speaking on their experience as passengers aboard the Flotilla and on their work as activists.
Wright is a retired Army colonel who in 2003 resigned from the State Department in direct protest of the war in Iraq. Since her resignation she has continued to speak out against the war in Iraq and occupation of Palestine and co-authored Dissent, Voices of Conscience.
